Volunteering with non-profits across India and witnessing poverty and injustice made Jaseel realize the need for young people to use their imagination and competence to solve social problems.
At the engineering college, he was more interested in volunteering, organising social hackathons, and leading social work initiatives.
He co-founded The Ignite Foundation to enable more youth to solve problems faced by vulnerable communities.
He studied at TKM College of Engineering, followed by a Master’s in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
He is UGC-NET qualified to teach Social Work, Management, and Adult Education.
By enabling aspiring changemakers to solve social problems, Jaseel envisions addressing inequalities and vulnerabilities through social innovation and entrepreneurship.
Jaseel heads Social Entrepreneurship Education, Learning Experience Design, and Innovation and Research at The Ignite Foundation.
